On the 9th November 2020, Ambulance Wish Queensland created forever memories for Man Wah who wished to visit Mt Coot-tha and take in the breathtaking views.
When the Ambulance Wish Team arrived to collect Man Wah, they instantly felt the special family connection and the shared love between Man Wah and those closest to him. The first thing that Man Wah showed the Wish Team was his family history “The Lengths of the Family” consisting of Man Wah and Chiun’s five much-loved grandchildren.
The Ambulance Wish Team transported Man Wah to Mt Coot-tha where they were joined by his wife Chiun, son Jackson, daughter Catherine, grandson Ryan and many of their dear friends including his friend and carer Nelson.
Mt Coot-tha holds special significance with Man Wah as he, along with his friend and carer Nelson, would often travel up the mountain to soak up the views of the City and the beautiful surrounds. On a truly stunning Brisbane spring day the blue skies and Jacarandas were a delight to all.
The occasion was filled with love and happiness for Man Wah and the people with whom he shared his life. To round off this perfect day Man Wah shared his love of Ceylon Tea enjoying a refreshing drink with the Wish Team.
This was our 10th wish and was delivered in partnership with Queensland Health, Queensland Ambulance Service and St Vincent’s.
