We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the help of our community. You can help us help those who are dying or grieving – by hosting a fundraising event.

Small events make a big impact

You can do anything – from hosting a sausage sizzle to turning your birthday gift into a donation. Here’s a few thoughts to get you started.

How to get started

Fundraising may seem like a big task. But, if you break it down into small, simple steps – you’ll be able to host an amazing event for a good cause.

Step 1

Decide and register

To get started, decide what type of fundraising activity you want to hold then register your chosen activity with PCQ. Click the button below to complete our Community Fundraiser Registration Form.

Step 2

Get approved

Once you’re approved, you’ll receive a Fundraising for PCQ Information Kit. Before you start your fundraising event, you’ll need to wait until you receive the Letter of Authority from PCQ. You legally won’t be able to collect any funds you’ve raised without it.

Step 3

Start planning

Now that you have your Fundraising for PCQ Information Kit and Letter of Authority, you can start organising your activity or event. Remember to keep us informed of your event activity and, if you do need any support, please let us know.

Step 4

Spread the word

There are some key ways that you can make your fundraising event a success. Share the event on your social media or in person, along with why you’re hosting the event and why the money will help.

Step 5

Host the event

This is the fun part. Host your event with your family, friends and colleagues – you can even share it on your social media. Once it’s all over, send the funds that you’ve raised to PCQ along with the required records within 14 days.

Step 6

Celebrate a job well done

We’ll send you a gratitude certificate to say thank you for your support. And, if you raise more than $500, you can come into the PCQ office and have your photo taken with a big cheque. We’ll share this photo online and, if you want, you can share it with your community too.
