Marjorie was a volunteer at our Maroochydore Op Shop for about eight years before poor health forced her to finally retire. We stayed in contact with Marjorie, however in October 2022 we sadly learnt that she had been given a terminal diagnosis. Mingary Care rallied to help one of its own. Her family did not live on the Sunshine Coast, and we assisted Marjorie by visiting her at home, helping with medical appointments, collecting and paying for pharmacy supplies and assisting with medications. It became clear that Marjorie could no longer live on her own and her family arranged to move her to Maryborough to live with daughter Maree.
