Palliative Care Queensland is delighted to launch our new Fundraising Handbook to support individuals, organisations, and community groups in planning fundraising activities for Palliative Care Queensland and Ambulance Wish Queensland.
Interim CEO John Haberecht outlined the rationale for the new resource, “As a charity, we are surrounded by a wonderful community of care who are keen to support us through fundraising activities but are often unsure as to the best way to plan and fulfil a fundraising campaign. Our new Fundraising Handbook is a one-stop shop that provides tips, strategies, and techniques to ensure that anyone raising funds and supporting our causes can do so as easily and effectively as possible.”
“As a charity, fundraising can help us to achieve our strategic goals, with monies raised going directly towards our efforts to educate communities about palliative care, advocate for positive changes to support improved care and funding for palliative care programs and services across Queensland, support our network of volunteers and help Ambulance Wish Queensland to fulfil last wishes and create memories forever for patients in care and their loved ones.”
Available for download at: Fundraising | Palliative Care QLD, the Fundraising Handbook contains ideas for fundraising activities, eight steps for a successful fundraising journey, and the agreements required to hold a fundraiser for Palliative Care Queensland and our programs.
“We understand that fundraising activities come in all shapes and sizes. From gala events to sausage sizzles, from bequests to trivia nights, the Fundraising Handbook is a fantastic resource to support any fundraising activity. We are also on hand to help with the marketing and promotion of a fundraiser with additional tools and resources, as well as promotional opportunities through Palliative Care Queensland’s newsletters and social media networks. I would encourage any member of our community of care who is thinking about holding a fundraiser to download the Fundraising Handbook and contact our team for support as we are committed to ensuring we help those who wish to support Palliative Care Queensland,” said Mr Haberecht.
