Palliative Care Queensland is an independent not-for-profit peak body representing palliative care providers, consumers and their families and those with an interest in palliative care in Queensland.

Palliative Care Queensland was established in 1988 and is a membership based organisation, supporting the individuals, families, carers, community members, 
as well as specialist and generalist health care professionals working within the end of life industry.

Palliative Care Queensland is a member organisation of Palliative Care Australia, and as such,
aspires to meet Palliative Care Australia's national aims at a state level.

Palliative Care Queensland is the peak organisation for palliative care in Queensland, representing the
interests and aspirations of all who share the ideal of quality care at the end of life for all.

Palliative Care Queensland is funded via the following:

  • Queensland Health via recurrent funding and project grants;
  • Palliative Care Queensland members;
  • Donors and benefactors, and
  • Corporate sponsors.
