Palliative Care Queensland also hosts a variety of community education sessions throughout Queensland each year. The aim of the Palliative Care Queensland community education program is to educate members of the general public about:
- Palliative care;
- The process of dying;
- End of life issues, and
- Advance care planning and advance health directives.
Community education sessions are facilitated by qualified palliative care clinicians, and take place within a controlled supportive environment. All members of the general public are invited to attend these sessions, and questions are welcomed.
